While our major focus is on insolvency, commercial and personal injury litigation, and real property conveyancing, we also have lawyers on staff with the necessary skills to cater to the needs of a wide variety of individual, business and government clients.

As you will see when you review the individual lawyer biographies, our associates are well educated and equipped to provide optimum advice in a number of areas of law.

Our two senior lawyers have collectively 40 years practice experience. We have been involved in major complex commercial and personal injury litigation, large commercial transactions, and we have advised on many insolvency files.

We pride ourselves on offering reasonably priced services to families buying and selling homes, and also represent a number of building contractors and land developers.

Tim Hill has recently embarked on developing an arbitration and mediation practice. He brings to this his 25 years of experience at the bar, together with his experience in adjudicating bankruptcy cases as Registrar of Bankruptcy.

We represent or have represented:

  • Departments of the Government of Canada
  • Departments of the Government of Nova Scotia
  • Major corporations
  • Mid-size and small local businesses
  • Universities and university student unions
  • Trustees in bankruptcy and receivers
  • Financial institutions
  • Individuals and families

A major source of our business consists of representing clients in proceedings where their usual counsel is unable to act because of a conflict. In those situations, the clients are referred back to their usual counsel for all matters other than the proceeding in question.
