Tim Hill was born in the United Kingdom, and has lived in Nova Scotia since 1979. He was educated at St. Mary’s and Dalhousie universities. Tim has been a member of the Nova Scotia Bar since 1986. Tim is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Association of Law Teachers, and the Canadian Insolvency Foundation.
Between 1996 and 2002 Tim was the Registrar in Bankruptcy of the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia. He has also taught bankruptcy and insolvency at the Dalhousie Law School since 1999. He regularly contributes as a guest speaker on insolvency and debtor-creditor issues at seminars of various groups and organizations.
Outside his practice, Tim lives with his wife Sheila and their children in Hammonds Plains. He has been the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the St. Margaret’s Centre since 1998, and led the Board in its successful expansion program resulting in the building of the new facility. Until recently, Tim also served as President of the Bay Ducks (NSJHL).
Tim’s area of practice includes bankruptcy & insolvency, commercial litigation, personal injury litigation, and real property transactions.
